SALTED CARAMEL PRETZEL BROWNIES RECIPE
These ultra-fudgy brownies are topped with a layer of rich, creamy Salted Caramel-flavoured white chocolate ganache. Pretzel bits are stirred into the brownie and then dusted over the top, providing a satisfying and salty crunch in every bite. Other brownies just don't stack up.

Ingredients

  • 5 drops Wilton Treatology Salted Caramel Flavour Concentrate
  • Favourite Brownie Recipe
  • 85g roughly crushed pretzel pieces
  • Cake release or Vegetable spray

Icing

  • 113g white chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream

Step 1

  • Preheat oven to 175°c.
  • Prepare 20cm x 20cm baking tin with cake release or vegetable spray

Step 2

  • In large bowl, prepare your favourite brownie recipe, add the Salted Caramel Flavour and pretzel pieces until well combined
  • Pour into prepared tin
  • Bake according recipe instructions, or until toothpick inserted in centre of brownies comes out almost clean
  • Cool completely on cooling rack

Step 3

  • For topping, combine white chocolate and cream in medium microwave-safe container
  • Microwave at half (50%) power 1 minute and then stir
  • Continue to microwave and stir at 30-second intervals, until chocolate is almost melted. Stir thoroughly until mixture is smooth
  • Add Salted Caramel Flavour and stir until well combined
  • Pour over cooled brownies, spreading evenly
  • Top with crushed pretzels
