Melting Moment Christmas Tree Lollipops

These cookies really do melt in your mouth! Just be careful not to overmix the recipe when you add the flour.

Decorate with whatever sprinkles or sweeties take your fancy!

  • 240g softened butter
  • 90g icing sugar
  • 240g plain flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Smarties or alternative sweets


Step 1

Making the Melting Moment Trees

Line your tray with either a silicon mat or parchment paper. Pre-heat the oven to 170C.

  • Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Fold in the flour until just combined.
  • Prepare a piping bag with Tip 1M and fill with the biscuit mixture.
  • Pipe a short line to attach the cookie stick, then pipe a tree design over this.
  • Bake in the oven for 10 - 12 minutes or until just starting to turn golden.
  • Cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack.

Step 2

Decorating the Trees

  • Make the royal icing as per recipe instructions
  • Place into a piping bag and pipe tree branch designs on the cookies
  • Decorate with sprinkles and sweets. Leave to set.
